Hi! Thanks for visiting. My name is John and I have been professionally photographing weddings, events, portraits & sports for the last 5 years. I say professionally because I've been seeing & capturing images since I was in about 1st grade. I used to take pictures with a 110 & 35mm Kodak and send in the rolls by mail and anxiously wait 3-4 weeks to get them back. I got into digital in about 1998 when I got my first PC & Kodak point & shoot. It was quite liberating to be able to see the images in real time and print them on my home printer. I was still not satisfied with the quailty though. Flash forward to 2006 when I got my 1st DSLR and made a commitment and investment in my dream of becoming a photographer.

You can say that what started off as an expensive hobby has turned into a passion. I give many thanks to the Digital Era for allowing me this creative outlet. I also give a bigger thanks to my loving wife who has supported me throughout this whole time! What would a Photographer do without a loving wife holding the fort down?!

Rain or Storm the shoot must go on! (Dan & Ana’s Day After Portraits)

I posted some images of Dan & Ana’s Wedding a week back and mentioned their awesome day after beach shoot. Well here it is! We had to postpone once because of rain but that didn’t stop us from trooping out in a small tropical storm on our last day in Mexico. We planned to capture some great images with the sunrise but due to the storm and overcast skies we just managed to get some incredible sunriseless images. It actually worked out better because we had a giant softbox giving Dan & Ana wonderfully even, clean light. Check out what I mean here…
