Rain or Storm the shoot must go on! (Dan & Ana’s Day After Portraits)

I posted some images of Dan & Ana’s Wedding a week back and mentioned their awesome day after beach shoot. Well here it is! We had to postpone once because of rain but that didn’t stop us from trooping out in a small tropical storm on our last day in Mexico. We planned to capture some great images with the sunrise but due to the storm and overcast skies we just managed to get some incredible sunriseless images. It actually worked out better because we had a giant softbox giving Dan & Ana wonderfully even, clean light. Check out what I mean here…

Needless to say I’m glad we ventured out in the elements to capture once in a lifetime images! I can’t believe we came so close to not doing the shoot. Rain or snow the shoot must go on!

Dan & Ana’s Riviera Maya Wedding

Dan & Ana contacted me about covering their Destination Wedding last year. I was super excited to talk with them about it and ecstatic when Dan called to let me know they had chosen me to accompany them on their special day. The Royal in Playa del Carmen was an incredible hotel. The ambiance, food, service was top notch. Dan & Ana are a super cool, fun couple and we had a chance to create some wonderful Wedding and day after images. Here are a few of the images from the Wedding Day…

It was great writing up this post and viewing the images again as it brought back great memories. Dan & Ana treated me like a guest and were open and willing to ideas to get some great images. Stay tuned for images from the Day After Wedding…

Josh & Megan’s Wedding Slideshow Preview

This past Saturday was Josh & Megan’s Wedding. I was very glad to make it in one piece as I had been battling Laryngitis and a chest cold. Gilberto & Maria’s Wedding

I met Maria a few years ago when she was in school. We lost touch after she finished her courses and like many others reconnected through Facebook. I was excited for her when she told me she was having a baby and even more excited when she asked me to take some pictures of her civil marriage. I met with Gilberto to discuss our approach and we decided to head to Jersey City Pier to get some images. He is a great down to earth guy and I know they will be happy for years to come!

Lester & Lucille’s Wedding

When I was approached by Lucille to photograph their wedding, I was immediately looking forward to it. Her fiancee Lester had graduated from the same high school as I had and is currently serving our country as a Marine. I was honored to be asked to be a part of their event… and I was thinking about all the cool shots I’d get of him in his uniform.

Now, Lester and Lucille were married in Hawaii this last summer but they decided to have a small wedding for the family and friends who couldn’t make it out to there. In stark contrast to their hot, sunny island wedding their NJ wedding was held in the middle of our 1st snowstorm of the year. However, the blizzard like conditions were not going to deter people from showing up and having a great time!

Here is a small sample of their wonderful day…

As I said it was a wonderful night. I hear they’re planning another celebaration…underwater…

Wedding Slideshow

Hi Folks. I’ve gathered a few images from my past Weddings and put them together into a slideshow as it would be too many images to post here.

As I stated earlier. Much credit goes to my Amigo Josh Lynn for help and the ability to work with him. I was blessed to be around such a talented individual who taught me very much.

Summer ’09 Weddings I

This past Summer was a pretty busy one for me. I had a fair amount of personal work to shoot and that kept me pretty busy. However, I had the privilege of working with Josh Lynn on a few Weddings. It was a great Season in that I worked in some of the best venues in NJ and saw a Master @ work. I also had the chance to open a few boxes of chocolate… more on that @ a later date…

I will post some of my favorite shots from a few of them over the next few weeks. They are straight from camera, unedited pics except for Color & a few B&W.

This is a Wedding I assisted “The” Josh Lynn with during the Summer. They were a great couple and their wedding had great energy and excitement. So much so that the Firemen came to cool things down a bit…

Rachel & Mike @ Liberty House Restaurant

I had the chance to work with a great couple at a snazzy spot. It was a fairly low key Wedding & the weather didn’t hold up, but Rachel made the best of her day and everyone had a great time! I was only there for the Ceremony and Reception, but I think you get the idea from the following images.
